Why we think a project management tool is a must!!

How many times have you gone through a project to find out close to testing period, reporting phase or launch date that you’ve gone way over budget, or your team has missed a crucial step (say letting the marketing team know that you need a media release drafted) or a crucial team member fell sick and you have no idea which stage of the project they are at to continue his or her work?

We think that project management is a MUST… because without it, teams and clients are exposed to chaotic management, unclear objectives, a lack of resources, unrealistic planning, high risk, poor quality deliverables, projects going over budget and delivered late.

Great project management matters because it delivers success.

Project management creates and enables happy, motivated teams who know their work matters, so do their best work.

A project management enabled team ensures the right stuff is delivered; stuff that delivers real return on investment, and that makes happy clients.

The good news is that project management is made simpler than ever these days with software aimed at making sure all of the above benefits is achieved to deliver successful projects.

Even better news is that there are so many free versions of project management software that you can start off with to see if it suits the needs of your team and organisation before deciding to upgrade or unlock more features.

Here are some project management tool software we have tried and recommend:

  1. Trello (Web, macOS, Windows, iOS, Android) for individuals and teams who need a work pipeline;
  2. MeisterTask (Web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) for combining project ideation, planning, and execution;
  3. Yodiz (Web, iOS, Android) for Agile and Scrum teams;
  4. Agantty (Web) for creating Gantt charts quickly and easily.
